Nowadays we are all blessed to have hard working sample companies create production ready sounds in almost any genre. But sometimes getting back to the basics and synthesizing a sound like an analog snare in Sylenth just works. I think there are three main reasons why making an analog snare in Sylenth has it's benefits. First, everything will be tempo synced. Analog style drums are very short and crispy sounds, if you create analog style snares in synths, you have complete control over the decay and release. Second, you can easily tune the snare to your song's key. That will help it sit in a mix with less hassle. Third, doing pitched snare rolls becomes a breeze. It's also really easy to make snare sounds in Sylenth. You basically just have to stack a sine wave with some noise waveforms and apply the correct Amp Envelope settings to get the core sound.
