Symbols for Pattern Design in Adobe Illustrator / LINK Objects! /Edit Seamless Pattern Edges Easily!

In this video, I’m going to show you how to use symbols for pattern design in Adobe Illustrator! Symbols can assist you in your pattern design by enabling you to link objects, making your seamless pattern editing quicker and easier! When you turn an object into a symbol, and when you edit the symbol, it will cause EVERY instance of that symbol to be edited in exactly the same way at the same time. This can really be useful when editing repeat pattern edges. The changes that you make to one symbol will cause the corresponding symbol to change in the same way automatically. Helping to ensure that you’re pattern remains seamless!!! I’ll be showing you how to make an object into an Illustrator symbol, how to edit the symbol so that it does what you want it to, how to save your new symbols in a new symbol library, and how to pull that library back up for future use!
