One of the last things I needed to do on this LS Swapped MR2 was get the tachometer working. The original would not work due to it being set up for a four cylinder signal. You could use a device from dakota digital to change the signal to a v8 however that is quite expensive. The basic problem here was to use an aftermarket tachometer with the LS ECU you only need to boost the signal. The original signal is too low for aftermarket tachometers to read. By adding a 12V source dulled down through the resister, the signal is now brought up to a level the tachometer can now read. As soon as I made this change, the tachometer worked immediately. This worked for me and I am sure this can work for you.
