Tai Chi principle Grounding is a fundamental part of tai chi practice. In Chinese, it is called "Zu Xia Sheng Gen", meaning growing root under feet. By relaxing hips and widening inner thighs, more strength and flexibility can be developed, Qi flow can further go through centre of the body ( Dan Tian) down to the feet. Knee injury can be avoided or minimised through this particular training with profound relaxing sensation once one can feel deep yet subtle rooting and grounding.
