Takano was a Japanese watch brand that existed from 1957 to 1962.
Despite its high technology, the factory was destroyed by a typhoon and the business ceased, and was subsequently bought out by RICOH Co.
PRECISION WATCH TOKYO has now signed a licence agreement with RICOH Corporation, which currently holds the TAKANO trademark, and has started a new project to revive TAKANO.
