This was my first attempt at teaching Willow scent discrimination. I used the technique that Hannah Branigan teaches in her Obedience FUNdamentals workshop. At least I think I did! Great practice using new mechanical skills (moving those jar lids around) and great mental work for Willow.
At this point, I think she's still guessing and doesn't understand yet that it's the scent on the one jar lid that she' supposed to be zeroing in on. I'm told that somewhere between 3 and 5 targets, she may actually begin to understand what she's doing.
