Tech diving skills- Mask remove & replace

More of a practice video for me to learn more about Adobe Premiere, than a proper mask remove & replace demonstration. This is a skill that less experienced divers can trip up over, focusing too much on the actual process, and completely forgetting about buoyancy and spatial awareness. Obviously if you are not yet comfortable with buoyancy, you are not ready for a technical diving course. But the rig you are using has to be balanced also. Everything has to come together to be able to do it with no depth deviation and moving around, and we have to apply the real world to this skill. Likely mask failures are a broken strap or someone kicking it off your face- happened to me before. You have to consider the lost mask as.... lost, so wrapping it on your arm is probably not an option, especially if the strap has broken (most likely at the hinge). But you will likely be able to get a hold of it and put it in your pocket rather than completely lose it. It depends on how much is going on at the time and how task-loaded you already are. The currents in Bali can make staying still quite challenging, as you are constantly being hit with mini up, down, left and right currents that change by the minute. The most annoying thing in terms of filming is the side-currents as in this video. Case in point 40 seconds in, the side current clearly pushes me out of shot, but by the time i adjust and resume the skill, the current is then pushing me directly towards the camera.. yeah, first world problems... These currents are caused by the topography and varies a lot depending on the tide. Yes I know the right tank valve is fizzing. The great thing about Alba.. that will get sorted immediately. And oh yeah don't ever buy this crappy thin fourth Element hood, invest in a decent Santi or Waterproof one... so annoying to get it clear of the mask, too thin and close to the face.. your face may differ..
