Download Visual Studio Code (https://code.visualstudio.com/). There are a lot of other text editors you can use but this one is cross-platform so it should look the same on Macs, PCs or Linux. And it's free.
When you open it, pick the interface color, check to complete the setup, then the Welcome page will show.
We previously set up some folders on the desktop for the first two projects. You will need to connect Visual Studio Code with those folders first, then create a new file in the Project_1 folder and name it (YourLastName)_Project_1_TECH272_S2024.
This video will then show you some basic coding to do for the first assignment. Then compress the file and submit to the assignment on blackboard.
