It’s disconnected. It’s a rare Tecstar model, and over the years, most of these UFO cheapos ended up either completely dead or only working by sheer luck — maybe a 5–10% chance at best. According to the owner of the sewing shop, the wiring was frequently damaged by rats chewing through the cables. It was repaired once, but after it failed again, it was never fixed anymore.
I still have a feeling the motor itself might actually still work, although the bearings were jammed.
The fan also carries sentimental value. It was originally won as an event prize by the owner’s late older sister, who later gave it to him to be used in this sewing shop.
