TEG Dehydration Unit Process Flow Diagram
Gas Depression: If higher depression is necessary, then instead of normal regeneration configuration implement the so-called Enhanced Regeneration Systems to increase glycol concentration at regenerator: - COLDFINGER6,7: no stripping gas is required, and TEG could achieve 99.9 %wt. - DRIZO6,7: solvent and BTEX are recovered before venting, TEG up to 99.99 % wt. - Stripping gas6,7: TEG up to 99.96 % wt. Just to have an about degree of depression in respect to TEG regeneration concentration: - 99.5 wt. provide 55-60°C depression - 99.9 wt. provide 63-65°C depression - 99.96 wt. provide 68-70°C depression - 99.99 wt. provide up to 100°C depression. Optimum operating temperature shall be between 25-50°C and the operating pressure shall stay in range of 35-135 barg. Keep the wet gas temperature above hydrate formation and provide inlet gas separator even of the gas in coming from production separator. Increase of wet gas flowrate shall also linearly increase the water quantity to be removed and if the wet gas shall increase significantly glycol losses shall be maximized, and the regenerator could be overloaded. Lean glycol temperature shall be 5°C higher than wet gas and the most important knob to be used for depression is the glycol purity!
