www.tellcollab.org What would happen if almost 100 world language educators looking to learn and become more effective were put in a room without a schedule, a keynote speaker, presenters, or a prepared presentation? Embracing the spirit of the (un)conference format modeled by EdCamp, TeachMeet and others, the Teacher Effectiveness for Language Learning (TELL) Project and the Center for Open Educational Resources for Language Learning (COERLL) created a summer continuing education opportunity to encourage participants to take control of their own professional learning. Hosted by COERLL on the University of Texas at Austin campus, about 82 K-16 educators gathered in late June 2015 for two days of sharing resources, asking questions and pushing each other to develop solutions for the issues they are facing in their classrooms.
