Temporary soil anchor construction (Part 1)

The construction of a soil anchor for deep excavation typically involves the following steps: 1. Drill a hole Use a drilling rig to bore a hole in the soil at the appropriate angle and diameter. The diameter of the hole depends on the dimensions of the anchor body. 2. Clean the borehole Replace the fluid in the borehole with a grout that has a high cement content. 3. Insert the anchor Use a crane, drum, or by hand to insert the ground anchor into the borehole. 4. Grout and seal Once the grout has set, pressure-grout the bond length. 5. Pull the tendon into tension After the grout has cured, pull the tendon into tension against a plate or block and lock it in place
