This video is a detailed walk-through of the Tenable Vulnerability Intelligence module, a relatively new tool that helps users understand and prioritize vulnerabilities. We explain the module’s quadrants, starting with emerging threats and new CVEs.
The video also covers the Top 50 vulnerabilities by Tenable’s VPR (Vulnerability Priority Rating). We show how to view findings and affected assets for each category, including persistently exploited CVEs and vulnerabilities related to ransomware.
The module also tracks exploits identified by CISA and vulnerabilities that are in the news or recently exploited in the wild. We highlight that vulnerabilities from widely used software, such as Google Chrome and Microsoft, frequently appear in these sections. The video also demonstrates how to look up specific CVEs.
Finally, We notes that the vulnerabilities shown are from a test lab used for a Cybersecurity Mentorship Program, and how it provides hands-on experience for students.
