Romain SARRET lives in Grenoble and has been passionate about images for a long time. He began photography in 2005 with a CANON 400D and, as time went on, he also became interested in video, simply because he wanted to show more than "static". In 2011, he decided to invest in what he calls “serious equipment” and so he bought a CANON 5DMK2 for photos ... but also for its video mode which was then revolutionary for a case of this type (DSLR). And especially at the price. This camera was a revelation and he was immediately inspired about the creation of Films. He admits to having a geekish side to his personality and likes to spend hours in front of his computer immersed in post-production (editing, calibration). In 2014, in order to push further the qualitative aspect of his videos he chose to follow the evolution of technology and especially with the arrival of 4K. He had already had the opportunity to try a Panasonic GH3 in a store and was amazed by the number of options and functions dedicated to video present. After a few weeks of reflection, he decided to take the step and change brands, and purchased the excellent hybrid "Panasonic GH4". Its superior image quality, its lightness / compactness and its many video options have quickly made it, for him, an absolute weapon. The most important for me, as a creator, is to try to push my productions always further, especially in terms of colorization because, coming from a photographic background, it is an aspect that he drawn to and one which is essential to include and enhance as much as possible. In addition, for Sarret, trying to make the "cinema look" with a (very) limited budget is exciting because it requires thought and effort. Sarret is self-taught and trained alone via the internet which he refers to as “a gold mine” for anyone with the patience and courage to watch tutorials or read articles for hours. Having also found that very little information was available about the world of M4 / 3 (small GH sensor) he wanted to share that knowledge. So he created the blog Lumix GH / S1 France to write articles, as well as Facebook groups ("Panasonic GH4-GH5 France" and "Panasonic GH4-GH5 France Vids") so that users can exchange, help each other but also share their creations. Following his first video made at GH4 (Cretan Landscapes), he was contacted by Panasonic France to collaborate with them. Since that day, he has been making videos for them, especially when releasing new cameras (Wild Namibia for the GH5, Night York City for the GH5S, then Hong-Kontrast for the S1, as well as lately Aestheticeland also with the S1 but for its new 422-10Bits mode). He also gives lectures / trainings (Salon de la Photo, Masterclass) as Brand Ambassador, but still keeps his freedom of speech and creativity, and that's really what he likes about this partnership. * Facebook Page : facebook.com/Romsprodvids * Website : romsprod.com * Blog : blog-gh4-france.over-blog.com/
