֍ Tensile tests are performed for several reasons. The results of tensile tests are used in selecting materials for engineering applications and determining material properties like elastic, plastic, creep, and corrosion behavior. A tensile specimen is usually a sample with standardized cross-section. In this tutorial, we are going to use SolidWorks to model a cylindrical tensile test specimen with threaded grip ends. Through this SolidWorks tutorial, we will learn how to model 3D helical threads and getting familiar with some SolidWorks capabilities like switching of the system of units, Fillet, Mirror, Revolved Boss/Base, Helix curve, Swept Cut, and Linear Pattern tools. ▼______________________________________________▼ For more SolidWorks tutorials and projects please subscribe to our channel and follow us on → Website: http://www.idesignbest.com → Facebook: http://www.idesignbest.com/facebook → Twitter: http://www.idesignbest.com/twitter → Instagram: http://www.idesignbest.com/instagram ▼______________________________________________▼ The music of this video: ♫ “Sunshine on Sand” by Unicorn Heads is free licensed ♫ ♫ “After You” by Dan Lebowitz is free licensed ♫ ♫ “Hickory Hollow” by Dan Lebowitz is free licensed ♫ ♫ “Moving On” by Wayne Jones is free licensed ♫ ♫ “Sweet Release” by Dan Lebowitz is free licensed ♫ ▼______________________________________________▼ This Video is: ● Authored and Recorded by Stefan Lorenz ● Edited and reviewed by Mehdi Moradi
