Tesla Model S Window Regulator replacement, installing Doorman window regulator

One of the most common issues with the legacy Tesla Model S is window regulators failing. This is not the first time one failed on our 2013 Model S. There are already a couple videos on our Channel that show window regulator repair on different door. This is the first time I use a brand new, aftermarket, window regulator from Doorman. I got it from Amazon for around $70, way cheaper than buying one from Tesla. You can pick those up at a Tesla Service Center for around $300. From Tesla the window regulator comes as an complete assembly with a motor. The aftermarket window regulator doesn't come with a motor, which is ok since the motor itself works just fine. In this video I show you how to replace the drivers door window regulator step by step. This can be easily performed by someone that is handy with tools. Don't take you Tesla to the Tesla Service Center for every repair. Most repairs can be done by yourself, especially if you worked on your own cars before.
