Another zoom back in time to those musical Test Card days screened ahead of mainstream programmes for the television trade. The medleys of often subliminally beguiling melodies, left an indelible lifelong impression on those who happened to be exposed to these often repeated musical gems. Tunes some already familiar some not, with bespoke uplifting arrangements just for the test card tapes, secretly beguiled the ear of the hapless listener. The 'bounce' theme characterized by an emphasized underlying beat as in dynamic and harmonic dance and big-band styles was perhaps the most striking feature of an incredibly wide range of music.
