In this video I am testing the non regulated e-match from MJG Technologies in the Tinder Rocketry CO2 actuator to see if there is any noticeable difference in performance as compared to a standard e-match. This non-regulated device is called the "Firewire Initiator" and can be found at: electricmatchdotcom (FWIW, Tinder Rocketry is in no way affiliated with MJG Technologies) In this test I am comparing the performance of .2cc of 3F BP and .2cc of Triple Seven BP substitute and using the Firewire Initiator to set them off. As you can see in this video, actuation is very rapid for both BP and 777 with really no noticeable difference in performance between the two. In addition, the performance seen here is largely similar to the performance with standard e-matches. This particular actuator is used for emergency parachute deployment in UAV's but is largely similar to those used in High Powered Rockets for high altitude CO2 deployment.
