Managed to beat Lunatic with continues, after that tried some runs but I really just need to cut down on early deaths. Most of this stream was spent trying to get better at stages 1-3, and I think after a little while I figured out some good times to bomb and stuff like that. Doing some real runs and resetting if I die early is probably the next step.
