And then they heard it: the screaming of canon-fire coming for them. Only one soldier had the awareness to scream to everyone, “Get down!” Those two words alone, saved quite a few lives as the explosion missed most of the soldiers. “Counterattack! Open fire!” A commanding officer shouted, snapping the soldiers into battle mode. The sound of gunfire filled the air, as they returned fire to their enemy.
