They have not learned some of the very basic techniques properly, and yet are trying to play music that contains complex combinations of those very techniques. One of the very common techniques used is the bend-release-pull off. It is heard all the time in solos, and very often is a source of trouble for students. This technique is itself a combination of a few basic moves, namely, the bend and pull off. It is especially troublesome at fast speeds. In this video, we take a deeper look at it.
