This talk will make the case for declarative ML and provide a peek at what this potential future could look like. ABOUT THE SPEAKER Currently Tristan is working on Continual (http://continual.ai), a venture backed startup building the AI layer for the modern data stack. He is passionate about working with like-minded people to push the boundary of what's possible. He previously cofounded Sense, a next-generation platform for data science and machine learning that was acquired by Cloudera in 2016. At Cloudera, he spent 3 years leading the ML engineering team and building software for ML and data science at scale. In his earlier life, he spent 10 years in the trenches of applied data science as an economist and consultant with USAID, the World Bank, the Entrepreneurial Finance Lab, the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard, and Harvard's Center for International Development. PhD in from Harvard University and proud Sagehen (Pomona College).
