The Coriolis Force with Demonstrations

This video demonstrates the Coriolis force using a simple setup that you can repeat in your homes or show your friends in the bars, busses, and restaurants. We also mathematically describe this apparent force and derive its components. The video further shows the real measurements of the inertial oscillations due to Coriolis force in the Baltic Sea. We conclude the video by discussing other non-inertial reference frames (e.g., the solar system, the Milky Way galaxy, etc.).
