The Cryptid Lamp #diyprojects

Let's make a lamp! In this video, I showcase how I designed and built a very cool, mid-century modern-style lamp that casts spooky shadows of all my favorite cryptozoology creatures from folklore. It started with a sketch, and from there, I vectorized the drawing in Adobe Illustrator. After that, I sent the files to my laser cutter to cut out the silhouettes. Materials I used for this project were sent from Creative Cut Supplies and feature top-grade, high-quality plywood designed specifically for laser cutting. Learn more about them at https://creativecutsupplies.com/ Once the shapes were cut out, I created a skeletal frame to hold them together and create a mounting point for the lamp base. I spray-painted the lamp base gold and that's it! A fun and easy diy project for those new to the laser cutting hobby. If you don't have a laser cutter, you can also achieve this with a scroll saw.
