This documentary draws on the federal indictments filed in Maryland and California in 2015, the trial transcripts from the Southern District of New York, Joshua Bearman's two-part Wired investigation, Andy Greenberg's reporting at Wired and Ars Technica, and Nick Bilton's book "American Kingpin."
