The Dolphin Chronicles

As a Marine Mammal Consultant I found myself living and working in many parts of the world far from home. It was the early days of digital cameras of which I always had by my side while working in and around the sea. This collection represents time spent with dolphins in Africa, Japan, Mauritius, Jamaica and the Bahamas. There's nothing like seeing wild dolphins. When I'd discover a local pods hangout, I found if I visited the area on a daily basis, in the same spot at the same time and just sat there, they'd be curious enough to come check me out. If I remained still they'd eventually come closer. In time they learned I posed no threat and came close enough to capture on camera. Some were aggressive, some shy, some laid back, some friendly, some cautious. Studying animal behavior taught me how to get along with people a bit better. A nice way to spend one's time.
