The Duet was first premiered at In Response in May 2019. This is an extended version presented in January 2020. The Duet explores the relationship between two people in real-time. There is set choreography but each performer can choose to interrupt, disrupt, change course or alter the sequence. It becomes the responsibility of both performers to attentively “listen” to each other, to observe the arc of the piece as it unfolds and to attenuate to the audiences’ response.
