This song was written from the heart as a descendant of one of those men — my grandfather, my father’s father — whose journey became part of the story carried by many Rotuman families around the world today. After releasing “11 Men of the Strait,” I received messages from descendants, families, and people across the Pacific sharing memories, emotions, pride, and stories about their fathers and grandfathers.
