The Evil Within [P2]

Original Title: Definitely Not Resident Evil Requiem Air Date: May 11th, 2026 Instead of Resident Evil plagiarizing Evil Within, we now have Evil Within plagiarizing Resident Evil. What a time to be alive I tell ye. This section sucked in Resident Evil 4, it sucks in Evil Within 1. Especially since 25% of my screen is a black bar and the enemies are more aggressive than ever and my guns feel like I'm slapping them with wet noodles. I really don't enjoy being the "I'm going to do nothing but complain for 40 minutes while I'm struggling with a difficult section" guy but sometimes these sections can really showcase how a multitude of design elements come together, or rather, how they DON'T come together. The Last Of Us-style shooting mechanics, mixed with RE4 Remake style movement and combat, mixed with 25% of the screen being black bars, mixed with the reload mechanics and more; it all just makes such a mess. I've fallen off my sleep schedule and of course it always lands on the days I could stay up later than usual, fingers crossed next stream goes smoother than this one.
