Music for a play written by Mark E. Smith centred around the mysterious death of Pope John Paul I in 1978, and incorporating Israeli commandos, demonic possession, Italian fascists, ex-Nazis and a Scottish communist. Described by its author as "a cross between Shakespeare and The Prisoner," it starred Leigh Bowery and ran for two weeks in December 1986 at Riverside Studios, Hammersmith.
