Treating co-workers and team members with the same enthusiasm and attention that we give potential clients and good customers is one of the tougher challenges service professionals face. When that internal "customer" is not part of our incentive plan or commission structure it is easy to take them for granted or put their requests at the bottom of the stack. There is another old saying, "Familiarity breeds contempt." It may be tempting to think of internal customers as interruptions in our day, but it is never very long before we need something from within our organization and become internal customers ourselves.
