On May 11, 2017 students from NNCS in grade 7-12 traveled to SUNY Potsdam to watch the performance of The Giver by National Players as part of the Community Performance Series. Throughout the school year, all students in grade 7-12 read and discussed the many themes within the novel. It was a powerful experience to build community through literature, share conversations across grade levels and curriculum, and demonstrate the ability to model learning for our students.
