The Greatest Gift
Verse 1 I used to think love meant carrying it all, Every burden, every shadow, every fall. I thought if I fixed you, then maybe I’d be seen, But I lost myself inside somebody else’s dream. Pre-Chorus Then a voice whispered soft, “Let go, step aside, The journey’s theirs to walk, I’ll be their guide.” Chorus So I lay it down at the feet of His light, Grace for the morning, peace through the night. I don’t have to save you, His arms already can, I just show my healing, the disciple I am. Verse 2 Now I wake with gratitude, eyes lifted high, Counting every mercy that falls from the sky. The greatest gift I offer is the truth I live, Love like the Savior, and grace to give. Chorus So I lay it down at the feet of His light, Grace for the morning, peace through the night. I don’t have to save you, His arms already can, I just show my healing, the disciple I am. Bridge We came here to stumble, to repent, to be free, To walk humbly and closer to eternity. Not perfect, but learning—His atonement’s enough, In His light I rise, in His love I trust. Chorus So I lay it down at the feet of His light, Grace for the morning, peace through the night. I don’t have to save you, His arms already can, I just show my healing, the disciple I am.
