"The Inuit" was originally set for a cappella choir by Percy Aldridge Grainger (1882-1961). The text is a selection from Rudyard Kipling's 'The Jungle Book'.
Grainger was known for his many different arrangements of each of his compositions. However, there are a number of compositions Grainger never rearranged. This is one of those pieces.
It is arranged here for strings, flute, and English horn.
