The Kenya Open Telepathology Project (OpenFlexure Microscope)

The Kenya Open Telepathology Project, funded by Innovate UK and spearheaded by Dr. Daniel Maitethia at Meru University, is focused on making pathology services accessible to underserved regions like Meru County. Using a very low-cost, open-source digital microscope called the OpenFlexure Microscope, whose parts are locally manufactured and assembled at the university, this project supports cancer and malaria diagnosis.
