Conducted by John B. Watson and Rosalie Rayner in 1920, this experiment aimed to show that human emotions, like fear, could be conditioned through association. But what began as a simple demonstration of classical conditioning soon raised serious ethical questions. Join me as we uncover how Little Albert was taught to fear a white rat, what the experiment revealed about human learning, and the mystery that still surrounds what happened to Albert after the study. It’s a fascinating look at a key moment in the history of behavioural psychology and the lessons it left behind. References Cherry, K. (2024, July 11). The Little Albert Experiment.
