When you talk about Star Wars, almost everybody has an opinion. The franchise has been around for almost 50 years and has solidified itself as a cultural icon in our history. It’s been the topic of many debates, both over lunch and on TV, there’s been countless parodies, tons of fan-made content, and references sneak their way into current media all the time so it’s no surprise that there are plenty of complaints about the franchise over the years as well. While there were plenty of debates prior to 2012, after Disney acquired the LucasFilms production company as well as the revitalization of the franchise, these complaints started to seriously divide the fandom.
