Being a new student at a new school is a challenging experience. Now imagine it's in another county, with a different way school runs, and you don't speak the language! For some APS students that is exactly what they experienced. In 2019, we asked some of these students about their experiences. What was hard for them, and what made their experience better. We hope their experience can open a window into what it is like to be new in a strange place and offer a few ideas about how to make newcomers feel safe and supported.
