3D printing of Liquid crystal polymer (LCP) into high-performance polymer structures with mechanical properties that surpass all other available printable polymers and can compete even with fibre-reinforced composites. These properties result from the molecular alignment that can be generated during the printing process of LCPs and that can be tailored locally to optimize the mechanical response of complex geometries.
