The North is a song by Elton John from the album The One from 1992. The album was his biggest commercial succes in almost two decades, and also his first album after rehab. The North, however, wasn't a hit from that album.
The North is a deep cut from the album, and it was played in 1992 at a solo show and 1993 during the tour with Ray Cooper, that also brought them to South Africa. This version is inspired from that tour.
