The Old Liners II
There are twenty six liners in “The Old Liners” Part two, most of those on this film were filmed in the seventies in New York, coming and going and tied up. By this time although they had started life as passenger liners they had been converted to cruise ships. Some of the film was shot by World Ship Society members on trips around New York Harbour, some times in the winter when the light was rather poor. It has come to me through the late Frank Braynard who sold it to Andrew Warwick, who in tun sold it on to me. There are some long sequences and some very short clips depending on the footage available. SHIPS INCLUDED IN THE OLD LINERS PART TWO America, Bremen (1959), Canberra, Caronia, Cristoforo Colombo, Cunard Ambassador, Elizabethville, Europa , Excalibur,France, Kungsholm (1966) Liberte, Maksim Gorkij, Nieuw Amsterdam,Oceanic, Queen Anna Maria, Queen Elizabeth, Q.E.II, Raffaello, Ryndam, Sea Venture, Doric, Spirit of London, Statendam, United States, Veendam.
