I went to my favorite lagoon yesterday, 4-18-2026. As sunset approached I witnessed this drama. There was an osprey catching fish. Then a bald eagle comes in from the south and after brief aerial combat, I think the eagle stole the osprey's catch and flew off to the trees to enjoy it. There’s probably a parable here, but I'll stick with my usual tag line. “The hours you spend at Chah-pekw O' Ket'-toh do not count against your allotted time on the planet.” #nature #humboldt #baldeagles #ospreys
