Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement in Uganda is one of the largest refugee settlements in the world and home to over 270,000 people, the majority of them children.
We Share Solar is installing 53 Solar Suitcases in schools across the settlement, bringing reliable light to classrooms where students often stayed late, studying by candlelight or not at all.
With light, students can read after dark, teachers can prep lessons more effectively, and learning doesn't stop when the sun goes down.
