The Problem With Short Strings
Christian Henson has a unique position within the world of composing because he doesn't just work with orchestral samples. He makes them. Over the last two decades Christian has had a hand in producing literally hundreds of orchestral sample libraries, whilst maintaining a successful career as a BAFTA and Ivor Novello nominated composer. In this video, the first in a series, Christian gives a rare insight into working with orchestral samples, what we can do to overcome the limitations, what to avoid for those we can't overcome, but also how we can transcend the possibilities of orchestral writing with the joyous gift of writing music with a computer. Christian was using Glass Strings and Pocket Orchestra to demonstrate his thoughts, which you can find, and get here: https://thecrowhillcompany.com/tools/glass-strings/ (Glass Strings) https://thecrowhillcompany.com/explore/pocket-strings/ Let us know what you'd like for us to include in future episodes in the comments below.
