We give an example of computing the QR factorization of a 4x3 matrix. The QR factorization takes a matrix and applies Gram-Schmidt to the columns. Since Gram-Schmidt preserves the spans of the columns in the original order of the product of the columns of A with the transpose of the Q (the matrix whose columns are the result of Gram-Schmidt) will result in an upper triangular matrix. Our example will illustrate this is practice. #mikethemathematician, #mikedabkowski, #profdabkowski
