This was somebody who was completely present. Absolutely. The feeling was so extraordinary. It can’t be described, other than to say that it gave you the feeling you were finally home. Nobody has to tell you when you’re home; you know it when you feel it. But then you get thrown out of the house and you have to find your way back—that’s the practice really, how to find our way back home. Without the grace of my experience with Maharajji, I wouldn’t know where home is. Not that I didn’t have it always within me, or that you don’t have it always within you. But the question is: to what degree do we know where it is? Because it is to that degree that we’ll look for it. Ultimately, we’re all looking for the same thing, all of us; every being in the universe is trying to find its way home.
