With the Solarbotics Shadow clock, we're still using shadows to tell time, but with a modern twist. We're using 180 LEDs arranged in three rings to cast a shadow on a clock face, creating the clock hands we are all used to using to tell time. A WiFi-enabled ESP8266 microcontroller offers a convenient way to connect to your Shadow clock to configure it for your own purposes, and being fully open-source, you're able to customize it any way you wish.
