The Wriggler

Sitting down at a keyboard and typing into a computer all day long is not an ideal way of breathing life into the inanimate. Imagine breathing life into the inanimate...using a mixing desk. Introducing: The Wriggler. The Wriggler is a recording studio and mixing desk for motion rather than sound. It can capture the animation of a robot prototype in real time and lay motions down in tracks, which we can then edit and tune. Now we can focus on the expression of the machine rather than the code. We have given puppeteers, performers and animators a tool to generate rich motion in such a way that can be translated into complex kinematic software. We are pioneering these bespoke tools for robotics because we are pioneering a new industry. The tools of our new industry, therefore, reflect our philosophy: no longer is robotics a tool to serve you, but it now becomes an extension and an essential part of you. The Wriggler enables your imagination to extend into the physical world and leave a part of ourselves behind.
