Theme Park World - Lost Kingdom (Sim Theme Park)
My completed park for Lost Kingdom, played on PC (Win 10) natively, with Gold version installed (V 2.0, all rides, etc). Played on 3D mode, 800x600 at high quality. Unfortunately editing high.sam for higher resolution/quality ends up crashing my game much faster. I played VERY aggressively, starting with all Gold rides and setting park gate price to $60. Hired engineers only after 3-4 months when the first time started to break down, and then used them to start upgrading rides instead. The park's rides are then heavily micromanaged so they won't break down. Visitor happiness was kept very high from the get go, and reached a maximum of 92% happiness at 332 and 500-600 visitors. Usually has been from 86-92%. Park paths are kept 1-tile wide as much as possible, I don't buy additional land and use whatever I have and maximise it. Sideshows and drink shops are placed at the beginning, toilets are placed where I currently have Super Toilets (regular toilets are replaced at the very end). Ride upgrades are researched first, then actual rides and keep switching between the two. Roller coasters are the lowest priority and built last in the park. The 3 Golden Tickets ride will be skipped until the end of the game as it isn't worth it right now. Entertainers, guards, cleaners are set on very small patrol areas to maximise their effect. Engineers receive about 6 rides each in their patrol areas. Staff rooms are located at appropriate spots. From the shown Golden Tickets you can see I'm actually missing one... somehow it disappeared but the missing Golden Ticket is the 350 visitors in 6 months. As you can see I have the Jurassic Tours GT ride (which eats one GT) and yet I have 5 on the top right... There is more to it but this is the basic layout and just understanding that this is the best way to stay afloat. Don't hire too many staff until you've expanded into new areas!!! Buzzy will complain about people being thirsty/hungry, that you need more sideshows and more security cameras but based on this park + experience this is NOT needed at all. For profit-based park, this is even less necessary as from experience far-away shops really don't make any profits to be worth it. Again, visitor happiness is ~90%. The end result is a very profitable park, with sideshows pretty much running the business. I highly recommend the Shooting Gallery for Lost Kingom, but for Halloween World you HAVE to use Arcade ASAP. Wonderland/Space Zone the same but really need the Arcade to make the big bucks.
