My son Brent and I built this thermoacoustic engine for his 6th grade science project. I designed the engine to drive a tiny electric motor and propeller, but unfortunately, this engine lacks the torque to accomplish that task. We found this to be a very enjoyable and informative first time project, that requires very specific tolerances and parameters to run successfully.
